Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
Tulane WSPH was my first choice for its strong focus on equity, innovation, and research. The Health Policy program aligned perfectly with my background as a physician and my passion for preventive care and systems-level change.
What's your dream job?
I'd love to work in a role that allows me to design and lead public health programs that are rooted in prevention, education, and community empowerment. My clinical background taught me the limits of treating illness after it occurs, I'm passionate about shifting that focus upstream. Whether through nonprofit work, global health initiatives, or academic-community partnerships, I want to help build systems that make health more accessible, culturally responsive, and sustainable.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
Start by figuring out your why Public health is a vast, interdisciplinary field. So, the more you understand your own motivations, the easier it becomes to find your path. Don't worry if you don't have it all figured out, curiosity and purpose go a long way.
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
I love cooking and hosting. Recently, I have started to explore clean, sustainable eating and building intentional routines
What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?
Honestly, it's been the freedom to explore life on my own terms. Moving to New Orleans gave me space to reconnect with myself, beyond work, beyond academics. I've found joy in simple things: walking through the city, trying new food, building routines that reflect who I am now.
