Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
I chose to attend Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine because of its strong reputation, diverse opportunities, and commitment to shaping future healthcare leaders. After graduating from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS, I knew I wanted a program that would challenge me academically while also providing hands-on experiences in healthcare administration. Tulane stood out because of its dynamic curriculum, focus on innovation, and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field. I loved what this program had to offer—whether it’s the connections, resources, or real-world applications that will prepare me for a successful career in healthcare. The welcoming and supportive environment at SPHTM made my decision even easier, and I’m excited to be part of a program that aligns with my passion for improving healthcare systems and making a meaningful impact.
Why are you interested in volunteering as a student ambassador?
I’m interested in volunteering as an SPHTM Student Ambassador because I want to be an active part of the Tulane SPHTM community and help prospective and current students feel welcomed and supported. Coming from Jackson State University, I know how important it is to have strong mentors and resources when transitioning into a new academic environment. I love connecting with people, sharing my experiences, and helping others navigate their journey in public health. As an ambassador, I would have the opportunity to represent the program, engage with future students, and contribute to building a strong and inclusive community. I’m excited about the chance to give back, promote the incredible opportunities at SPHTM, and help others make the most of their experience here.
What's your dream job?
My dream job is becoming a hospital CEO. I want to lead a healthcare organization that prioritizes patient-centered care, operational efficiency, and innovation. I’m passionate about creating strategies that improve hospital performance while ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare. As a CEO, I would have the opportunity to drive meaningful change, support healthcare professionals, and implement policies that enhance both patient outcomes and organizational success. My goal is to make a lasting impact on the healthcare industry by fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
