Why did you choose to attend Tulane?

Tulane Weatherhead is the oldest school of public Health in the U.S. and also a leading school of Public Health in the U.S. Also there is a good diversity in student body.

Why are you interested in volunteering as a student ambassador?

As an international student, I was helped by other students in my first steps in the school so I think it is important to be a good resource for prospective students.

What's your dream job?

I planned to work as an epidemiologist in a local or international organizations in the field of outbreak investigation and in the field of chronic and non communicable diseases. I hope to get engaged in community public health issues in raising awareness and also to work as a researcher in this field publishing articles and reviews.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

Have a passion for public health, a desire for advocacy and also as a student If you're considering a degree in public health, focus on developing core skills in data analysis, research methods, and health policy, while staying open to exploring the many subfields like epidemiology, environmental health, or global health. Practical experience through internships or volunteering is crucial, as it helps apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges and clarifies your career interests. Networking with professionals and staying informed on current health issues is also essential for navigating this dynamic field. Above all, remain passionate about making a difference while balancing idealism with the practical challenges of improving population health.

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

Playing soccer, listening to peaceful music, hanging out with friends, reading books

What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?

The best thing is to be surrounded by highly qualified professors whose first goal is to help you learn and gain skills in the field of public health. Networking is also very good here as the student body and faculty are coming from a very diversified field and professions.
