The faculty at the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine are committed to solving unique and complex health problems with innovative and effective solutions. Faculty engage in research from the molecular to the global level, from bench science to behavioral science, the lab to the field. World Class Faculty Scholarship

A 2020 study produced a composite citation-based indicator listing 76 current Tulane faculty among the world's top 2 percent of scholars in their respective fields. The study was conducted by a group of experts at Stanford University, published in 2019 in the journal PLOS Biology, and updated in October 2020. Fourteen of the 76 Tulane Faculty listed are from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The majority of Tulane's faculty who were listed among the world's top scholars carried out most of their research while affiliated with Tulane.
