Accreditation

CEPH logoThe Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for its bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.

Accreditation was last awarded in January, 2026for a seven-year term, extending to December 31, 2032. The 2025 final self-study report is available upon request by emailing sphtmacademicaffairs@tulane.edu. The school has been accredited since 1947.

The Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine underwent a review by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for reaccreditation in 2025. Part of this process includes the provision of a third-party comment period, which allows anyone, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, community and practice partners, and members of the public, to share relevant information about the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine directly with CEPH.
