Concentrations
The job market is competitive across disciplines, and this is particularly true in the field of public health. Graduates need to have a solid base of knowledge while also demonstrating depth in one or more areas. Tulane graduates gain both thanks to the cross-cutting foundational curriculum as well as the subject matter competency gained by the degree program. Tulane students can gain an even sharper competitive edge by focusing their studies on a concentration.
These secondary areas of specialization serve a dual purpose fulfilling requirements ,while also providing focus on important topics in public health. Concentrations are a cost-effective way for students to stand out in their careers and gain specialized skills.

Note: Concentrations are only available to current MPH or MSPH students at the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Concentration courses are taken in addition to Foundational Courses and Core Degree Requirements. Please talk to your Success Advisor if you have questions.
