Rooted in our legacy as the first School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, the Office of Institutional Excellence & Opportunity is committed to advancing health, equity, and opportunity across Tulane and the communities we serve.
Mission
Our mission is to cultivate independent thinkers, innovative leaders, fierce advocates, and accomplished scholars. We conduct research and collaborate with partners—from New Orleans to communities worldwide—to ensure all people have an equitable opportunity to be healthy and pursue well-being.
Core Approach
To achieve this, our office intentionally pursues opportunity and access for all, evidence-based practices, and community engagement. These principles are embedded in everything we do—education, research, practice, and service—to advance public health knowledge and make a positive impact on communities everywhere.
