Why did you choose to attend Tulane?

I chose Tulane because of its established place within the Public Health field as well as its rich offering of classes and the opportunities that arise from being a Tulane student. In addition, I went through the Loyola/Tulane consortium pathway and started my MPH early while still completing my Bachelor's at Loyola. The wealth of opportunity that Tulane has to offer is way truly drew me in the end. Finally, its location in New Orleans has allowed me to stay in this city that I love and keep in touch with my professors, connections, and friends at Loyola.

Why are you interested in volunteering as a student ambassador?

I want to be a Student Ambassador because I want to be able to connect with student like me, be an approachable resource, and stay involved in my community throughout my time at WSPH.

What's your dream job?

I would love to be a program director for WIC or for SNAP

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

I would say to be confident in yourself and your degree path, and stick to what you love. There are a lot of outside pressures when it comes to choosing your degree path, but I would definitely say be confident in your decisions. In addition, it is ok to not have everything completely figured out. Part of the experience is exploring what opportunities there are, and learning and growing as you go.

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

I love cooking, spending time with loved ones, doing handicrafts (specifically ceramics, flower pressing, and more!), and antiquing and thrifting.

What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?

I think the best thing about being a student is the student community. I have made so many friendships and connections both in and out of class, and have really enjoyed getting to work with my peers. In addition, I have gotten to learn from the most amazing professors who are incredibly knowledgeable in their fields. Community really is the most important thing to me, and I have been delighted to get to know the WSPH community.
