Why did you choose to attend Tulane?

I chose to attend Tulane WSPH because of its strong reputation in global health and infectious disease, as well as its long history of excellence in public health. Being located in New Orleans also played a big role for me, the city offers unique opportunities to work on real-world public health challenges and truly engage with diverse communities. Another important factor was the supportive community at Tulane. The faculty here are renowned and extraordinary in their fields, and the mentorship and accessibility they offer really stood out to me.

Why are you interested in volunteering as a student ambassador?

As an international student, I faced many challenges, from missing important deadlines to not knowing where I would stay when I first arrived in New Orleans. These experiences taught me how valuable it is to have the right guidance and support. I want to volunteer as a WSPH Student Ambassador so I can help incoming students navigate these challenges more easily and feel welcomed. I believe that if I could overcome these obstacles, others can too, with the right information and someone to point them in the right direction

What's your dream job?

My dream job would be to work as a public health professional focusing on chronic disease prevention, especially in community or population health settings. After graduation, I’d like to develop and implement programs that help prevent diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, particularly in underserved or high-risk communities.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

I’d suggest exploring different areas first and getting practical experience early on through internships or volunteering. Also, it’s important to really research and think about which specific area you want to focus on, since public health is such a broad field.

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

In my free time, I love trying new cuisines and watching movies
