Why did you choose to attend Tulane?

I chose Tulane WSPH for its strong focus on global and tropical health, hands-on learning, and its reputation for training public health leaders. Its interdisciplinary approach and opportunities in New Orleans and internationally perfectly align with my career goals.

Why are you interested in volunteering as a student ambassador?

I’m interested in volunteering as a WSPH Student Ambassador because I genuinely want to give back to a program that’s shaping my growth. I’d love to support prospective and new students by sharing my experiences, especially as someone transitioning from a clinical background to public health. It’s also a great opportunity to represent the school, build leadership skills, and be more engaged with the WSPH community.

What's your dream job?

My dream job is to work at the intersection of global health and community-based care — ideally with an international health organization like WHO or UNICEF. With my background in dentistry and training in public health, I hope to design and implement sustainable health programs that improve access to care and reduce health disparities, especially in underserved populations.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

I’d say go for it—but come in with an open mind. Public health is incredibly broad, so take time to explore different areas like epidemiology, policy, global health, or environmental health before choosing your path. And don’t worry if your background isn’t in science or math—what matters most is your passion to create impact at a population level.

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

Outside of public health, I enjoy dancing, pencil sketching, and playing badminton. I’m also an avid reader and love exploring creative outlets that help me stay balanced and inspired.

What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?

The best thing about being a student at WSPH is the supportive community — from approachable faculty to diverse classmates who bring global perspectives. Plus, the real-world learning opportunities in New Orleans make public health feel practical and impactful every day.
