Biography

Dr. MacLehose is an epidemiologist and quantitative methodologist who leads research in Bayesian approaches to epidemiologic data analysis and quantitative bias analysis. His work focuses on statistical methods to adjust for uncontrolled confounding, misclassification, and selection bias in observational research and how these methods can be used to improve reproducibility in research. 

He is the co-author of the book Applying Quantitative Bias Analysis to Epidemiologic Data and works in substantive epidemiologic areas including aging, cardiovascular disease, and cancer research. 

Prior to joining Tulane as Chair of the Department of Epidemiology, Dr. MacLehose was a professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.
