Biography
Colleen M. Nguyen is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) candidate at the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (expected completion Fall 2026). She currently serves as the Executive Director of Asian Women for Health, a nonprofit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to advancing workforce development, community health education, and community-engaged research.
For her doctoral portfolio project, Colleen is collaborating with Strong365 Lab on a lived and living experience-centered initiative designed to support mental health advocacy and stigma reduction.
Previously, Colleen served at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she led the development of community-engaged research efforts for national clinical genomics studies. Earlier in her career, she was part of the Computational Epidemiology Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she supported and managed a research portfolio spanning infectious disease and pandemic preparedness.
With almost 20 years of professional experience, Colleen brings expertise in public health research, program leadership, and nonprofit management, with a focus on community engagement, workforce development, and translational research. Her current interests also include the development of responsible artificial intelligence (RAI), ethics, and their applications in future public health practice and beyond.
