Biography
Udochisom Anaba (he/him) is a PhD student in the Department of International Health and Sustainable Development at Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. He received his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of York, United Kingdom, after completing his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Babcock University, Nigeria.
Prior to joining Tulane, Udochisom worked as a Research Coordinator for Breakthrough RESEARCH project in Nigeria (USAID’s flagship project for Social and Behavior Change Research and Evaluation). He has also conducted research across multiple thematic areas within international health including HIV/AIDS response among key populations, PMTCT, maternal and newborn health, metrics development for community health systems strengthening and currently, Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) research and evaluation.
Udochisom was a Global Health Corps (GHC) Fellow, which has the mission to train and mentor the next generation of global health leaders in health equity. Currently a Frederic Bastiat Fellow with the Mercatus Centre with a focus on health policy, Udochisom seeks to approach his research interests through an interdisciplinary lens exploring health inequalities and health policies pertaining to maternal, newborn and child health.
