The SSAINTS Program consists of CSDP members continued work towards ensuring the health and well-being of Vietnamese American older-adults residing in the New Orleans Metropolitan Area during the COVID-19 pandemic. Supported by a rapid funding mechanism for Tulane students to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak called Sprinting to the Front Lines, generously funded by Celia Weatherhead and the Weatherhead Foundation, the SSAINTS Program partnered with 504HealthNet and United Way of Southeast Louisiana to produce a Vietnamese language video with English subtitles about the COVID-19 vaccine to circulate in the community. The video above explains the differences between available vaccines offered to Americans and debunks misinformation leading to vaccine hesitancy. The goal of the video is to not only educate but to also encourage Vietnamese residents to get vaccinated.
