Troy Moon, MD, MPH

Dr. Troy Moon is an infectious disease specialist and pediatrician, who is an established health-services researcher and educator with extensive experience conducting research in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Tulane in January 2023, Dr. Moon had six years on-the ground experience living in Mozambique (2007-2012) as the Clinical Director of a PEPFAR-funded HIV care and treatment scale-up program.

Lolita Moss, PhD

Lolita Moss is an interdisciplinary social scientist with youth development practice experience, as well as social work and developmental psychology training. Her research interests center on Black adolescent development, interpersonal violence, and romantic relationships. She has explored the role of mainstream media as a socialization mechanism for violence-related attitudes and behaviors. Her current research agenda bridges the impact of policy and social networks on social attitudes and psychosocial outcomes.

Richard (Rich) Priore, ScD, MHA, FACHE

Richard (Rich) Priore is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Tulane University, where he teaches healthcare financial management, quality management, and health economics. Previously he served as an associate professor in the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health and most recently as a distinguished service professor in the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Yilu Lin, PhD, MPH

Yilu Lin is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her research focuses on predictive modeling using machine learning. She is one of the developers of the socio-Demographic, Metabolic, diabetes-related Complications, and healthcare Utilization for Risk Evaluation (DM-CURE). She is also interested in health service research and health policy. Dr. Lin is a WOC Research Associate affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System.

Tatiane Santos, PhD, MPH

Tatiane Santos is an assistant professor at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She holds an Adjunct Senior Fellow appointment at the University of Pennsylvania Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and Penn Center for Public Health Initiatives. Dr. Santos is a fellow of AcademyHealth Public Voices Fellowship in partnership with the OpEd Project; and a member of the board of directors for the Louisiana Public Health Institute.

Jeni Stolow, PhD, MPH

Dr. Jeni Stolow is a social and behavioral scientist who works at the intersection of medical anthropology, public health, and infectious disease outbreak response. Dr. Stolow has just returned from a deployment to Central/Eastern Europe responding to the Ukraine Emergency as a World Health Organization (WHO) Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) officer. Dr. Stolow is also currently responding to the COVID-19 pandemic as the Global Outbreak Alert & Response Network (GOARN) Research Focal Point for RCCE. Dr.

Melissa Gonzales, PhD, MS

Dr. Melissa Gonzales received her Bachelor of Arts in chemistry, biology, and Spanish, and her Master of Science in Toxicology and Industrial Hygiene from the University of Arizona. She earned her doctorate in environmental health from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. She also completed a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in environmental epidemiology with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development.

Nathan Morrow, PhD

Nathan Morrow, PhD. is an Associate Professor in IHSD and has taught a summer institute on Food Security and Resilience in Italy for 15-years. His research leverages geospatial tools for open and citizen science to investigate policy relevant action for environmental justice, human and planetary wellbeing, and food system resilience. He is currently leading NASA-funded open science capacity development to advance environmental justice in the Gulf South.

Rie Yotsu, MD, MIPH, DTM&H, PhD

Rie Yotsu is a dermatologist, and with her interest in global health, has cultivated her expertise in skin infections. She especially has longstanding track record of her contributions to the field of skin-related neglected tropical diseases, or the ‘skin NTDs’. Skin NTDs is a set of NTDs which manifest with skin symptoms, such as leprosy, Buruli ulcer, yaws, lymphatic filariasis, mycetoma, and scabies.

Kristefer Stojanovski, PhD, MPH

Kristefer Stojanovski, PhD, MPH is an interdisciplinary, global health, systems, and population health scientist. With training in epidemiology, health policy, and the social and behavioral sciences, Dr. Stojanovski leverages interdisciplinary and community-based methods to conduct research to discern the structural determinants of health among LGBTQ+ and diverse ethnic groups globally.
