Biography

Dr. Rustin Reed is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (11378) and Certified Safety Professional (34673) with over 10 years of experience in mining and other industries. He is also an MSHA-Approved Instructor for Part 48 and an Authorized OSHA Trainer for General Industry. Dr. Reed is the Lead Instructor of Bowen EHS’s Online CIH Review Course. He has experience teaching at the secondary, undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels, as well as managing research projects cumulatively valued at over $10 million. Rustin is happily married and has four children, aged 15 to 6, and enjoys doing anything outdoors.

Research Areas

Dr. Reed’s research interests include heat, noise, silica, and diesel exhaust exposures, as well as the use of serious games and machine learning to improve safety and health.
