Lolita Moss is an interdisciplinary social scientist with youth development practice experience, as well as social work and developmental psychology training. Her research interests center on Black adolescent development, interpersonal violence, and romantic relationships. She has explored the role of mainstream media as a socialization mechanism for violence-related attitudes and behaviors. Her current research agenda bridges the impact of policy and social networks on social attitudes and psychosocial outcomes. She has extensive applied research experience and seeks to build strong community-based research partnerships. She received her Bachelor’s degree, Master of Social Work degree, and PhD in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
