Why did you choose to pursue your MPH at Tulane SPHTM?

Prior to graduate school, I worked for two years in a clinical setting at an Ophthalmology practice and discovered that I really enjoy working with people, but I wanted to reach a more diverse population and have a wider impact on public health. I chose Tulane because the program had a Center of Excellence in MCH and that was very important to me.

What are your MPH/MCH interests and your career goals?

Most of my undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia focused on the ways in which aspects of identity such as gender, culture, and religion influence health. Maternal and Child Health was at the crossroads of many of my interests and encompassed the vulnerable populations and sensitive issues that were common across many cultures. Tulane was the perfect fit!

What are your interests outside of school?

I love sunsets, arts and crafts, and dancing!
