Why did you choose to pursue your MPH at Tulane SPHTM?

Tulane’s SPHTM being the first of its kind ever in the United States was an easy choice for me when deciding where I wanted to get my MPH. To begin with I found that its location in New Orleans, LA would be the perfect environment to be immersed in and study public health issues and their solutions. Additionally, Tulane’s engagement in various innovative public health related research projects stood out to me as I am passionate about evidence-based initiatives that are done to improve programs or policies. Finally, Tulane’s MCH programs focus on addressing the disparities and lack of equity for women and children both in the US and globally was inspiring to me and I was moved to be a part of the community of academics that wanted to make a change.

What are your MPH/MCH interests and your career goals?

Public Health Policy, Global Public Health, Infectious Diseases, Maternal and Child health

What are your interests outside of school?

Reading (anything from autobiographies to novels), drawing, painting, attending art museums, galleries and exhibitions when I can wherever I am in the world, yoga, hiking, soccer (I love both watching and playing the game) and trying every type of new food I can get my hands on!
