Why did you choose to pursue your MPH at Tulane SPHTM?
Prior to graduate school, I worked for two years in a clinical setting at an Ophthalmology practice and discovered that I really enjoy working with people, but I wanted to reach a more diverse population and have a wider impact on public health. I chose Tulane because the program had a Center of Excellence in MCH and that was very important to me.
What are your MPH/MCH interests and your career goals?
I am interested in maternal morbidity and mortality as the majority of maternal deaths in the US are preventable. I am also passionate about reproductive justice issues, equitable access to health, and public health research. I hope to work internationally and eventually pursue my PhD in the future.
What are your interests outside of school?
I love to cook new dishes, bake, and travel!
