Why did you choose to pursue your MPH at Tulane SPHTM?

I chose to pursue my MPH at Tulane SPHTM because I completed my undergraduate studies in public health at Tulane and loved the program and opportunities offered by the school. I fell in love with public health and specifically maternal and child health in my undergraduate classes at Tulane and knew I wanted to continue my studies through the MPH program. I also wasn't ready to leave New Orleans yet.

What are your MPH/MCH interests and your career goals?

I am passionate about maternal health and the health and human rights of incarcerated and previously incarcerated individuals, particularly women. I hope to one day work at the intersection of maternal health and incarcerated health and create programs for mothers and birthing people that work to support them without the need for incarceration within a prison or jail facility.

What are your interests outside of school?

Outside of school, I love working out and doing hot yoga, traveling, reading nonfiction, and playing with my beautiful cat, Princess Nutter Butter.
