The HIV/AIDS epidemic continues to exact a staggering global toll; in Sub Saharan Africa 22 million people - two-thirds of the world’s total - are HIV positive.

An estimated 12 million children aged 17 or younger have lost one or both parents to AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa (UNICEF, 2006a).

Prepares students to lead healthcare organizations by combining training in management, analytics, finance, and strategy with hands-on residency experience to advance health and well-being across diverse healthcare settings. 

Provides a solid foundation in parasitology, vector biology, and other infectious diseases of public health significance. Many individuals enter the program with the intention of subsequently pursuing PhD or MD degrees.
