Pediatric tuberculosis is difficult to diagnose in low-resource settings because children often cannot provide the samples used for adult TB testing. This project is evaluating innovative blood- and ultrasound-based diagnostic approaches that could make earlier, more accurate diagnosis possible for children in Bolivia and other high-burden countries.
The Protecting Highly Vulnerable Children (HVC) Activity strengthened HIV prevention, care, and support services across South Africa through implementation research, digital health systems, technical assistance, and innovative interventions that informed national HIV programming.
FoCEP strengthens the next generation of ethical global health researchers by building capacity for advanced education and practice in international research ethics at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Mozambique and across a network of academic institutions in Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP)
