AI Speaker Series: Data Science & Health Equity

Join us for our AI Speaker Series at the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine on Friday, April 3 at noon in Room 1210. We will be joined by our presenting speaker Dr. Elaine Nsoesie, Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health at Boston University School of Public Health for her lecture "Data Science & Health Equity".
Dr. Nsoesie is an internationally recognized expert in AI and data science for global health equity, specializing in non-traditional data sources — satellite imagery, social media, and mobile phones — for public health surveillance. She served as a program lead for the NIH's AIM-AHEAD program, led the Racial Data Tracker at BU's Center for Antiracist Research, and founded Rethe to increase African representation in scientific publishing. Born and raised in Cameroon, her work spans five continents.
