This full-day event will serve to highlight AI and machine learning applications in public health by showcasing current research, fostering new collaborations, and positioning Tulane as a leader in this rapidly evolving field. The symposium will highlight how machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics can address critical public health challenges, from disease forecasting to reducing health disparities.
Activities will blend traditional academic presentations with interactive engagement. Throughout the day, attendees will engage with AI demonstrations, networking opportunities, and student poster presentations. The symposium will feature speakers who bridge theoretical innovation with practical application, representing both local expertise and national leadership in the field.
We invite students, faculty and staff interested in AI and public health to attend and engage in meaningful exchange between technical experts and public health professionals, fostering new collaborations that bridge institutional boundaries while advancing innovative applications of AI in addressing pressing public health challenges.

AI in Public Health Seminar Series Upcoming in Fall 2025 Semester
The seminar series is mainly intended as training and awareness for faculty, staff, and students on AI tools and ways to use those tools to improve the educational experience of students. A central theme will be on appropriate use of AI, academic honesty, and the value of learning.
