Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff participate in this effort in several ways:

  1. by providing individual feedback -- work environment survey, town hall meetings
  2. by discussing and providing perspective on "areas of focus" addressed in the strategic plan – retreats, focus groups
  3. by participating in any of the Dean's "task forces" – addressing and reporting on priority issues through analysis and evidence-based recommendations

Faculty/Staff/Student Surveys

Faculty/staff/student feedback surveys are critical instruments in the beginning stages of this work. The instrument itself serves several purposes. It’s a vehicle for individual voices, in some cases a sounding board for those who work and carry out the mission of the school. It’s also a source of information regarding areas that need improvement and attention in order to carry out the strategic plan. Results from this feedback serve as a baseline for current conditions that can be used again for comparison once implementation plan tasks have begun.

Focus Area Report and Recommendations
This report is a product of collaborative discussions by 74 SPHTM staff that occurred at the inaugural Staff Retreat, held in October 2018. The report was submitted to the Dean for review and dissemination to appropriate committee, task force, or departmental charges.
