Biography
Bridget is a PhD student at Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in the Department of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease. Bridget has also earned her BSPH, with a second major in Cell and Molecular Biology, and MPHTM at Tulane University. Prior to her doctoral studies, Bridget pursued various opportunities to gain public health experience. This included an internship at the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite & Rodent Control Board where she worked on the city's West Nile virus surveillance program and led a research project investigating mosquito vector ecology. Currently, Bridget applies this passion for vector-borne diseases in the department's Chagas disease laboratory, under the guidance of Dr. Claudia Herrera.
