Stephanie Bittner, MPH

Biography

Stephanie Bittner is a doctoral student in the Department of Social, Behavioral, and Population Sciences (SBPS), working at the intersection of public health communication, trust, and disease outcomes. Stephanie earned an MPH from Yale University and serves as a Senior Vice President at Edelman, where she specializes in nutrition science communication and research. Her work focuses on global public health campaigns with organizations like the International Food and Beverage Alliance, as well as nutrition-focused initiatives for companies such as Unilever, PepsiCo and Ajinomoto.

At Tulane, Stephanie integrates her expertise in trust research and public health to design models that forecast trust in public health authorities and predict the reception of public health guidance. By analyzing historical data, socio-political trends, and media dynamics, her work aims to inform strategies that foster trust and improve the effectiveness of public health communication, particularly for at-risk populations.
