Biography
Rodney T. Anthony, is a dynamic public health leader with a passion for building equitable systems, developing people, and transforming communities through strategic health initiatives. With more than a decade of experience across sectors, Dr. Anthony brings a unique blend of systems thinking, policy expertise, and workforce innovation. Known for his ability to turn strategy into action, Dr. Anthony specializes in creating scalable, data-informed solutions that address structural barriers to health. His strengths lie in convening cross-functional teams, aligning programs with the social determinants of health, and designing high-impact education and training models. He is deeply committed to equity and uses a collaborative, outcomes-driven approach to leadership, fostering environments where people and partnerships thrive.
Dr. Anthony’s work has consistently focused on advancing population health, reducing disparities, and preparing the next generation of public health professionals to meet complex challenges with confidence and compassion. He is skilled in stakeholder engagement, grant and budget management, and translating policy into practice — with a strong record of securing community trust and institutional support.
He holds a Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Jackson State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alcorn State University. A respected voice in the field, Dr. Anthony is a member of the American Public Health Association, National Association of Health Services Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
