- Opioid Crisis: DR. DEBRA HOURY, director of the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control and a Tulane MD/MPH graduate, on the opioid crisis: "Addiction can stem from one initial prescription."
- Bioethics and organ transplant: U.S. Army Capt. DR. HUNTER SMITH, a Tulane MD/MPH graduate, on his latest ethics research through the lens of various religions: "Shintoism believes once the body is dead, it becomes polluted. So donations from cadavers are near zero."
- Post-prison health care: To re-enter society from prison, it takes more than $20 and a bus ticket. With a grant from the American Psychiatric Association, MD/MPH student ZACH LENANE helps former inmates navigate the healthcare system.
- Preventing antibiotic resistance: DR. ALEX SCHMALZ, MD/MPH graduate and emergency medicine resident at UC Davis, on changing behavior of doctors who over-prescribe antibiotics: "These interventions––emailed alerts––have been tracked . . . and they work."
