Activities focus on improving the quality, availability, and usefulness of program-linked data and filling critical intervention gaps. The HVC-RC Activity supports PEPFAR and the Government of South Africa's mission to achieve sustained HIV epidemic control in the country's highest burden districts.
The five-year project initiated in Q4 of COP19 and began work providing synergistic programme monitoring systems and system components for the OVCY and DREAMS programmes, analyses of risk patterns among adolescent and youth beneficiaries living with HIV, and development of innovative structured programming designed to support adolescent HIV prevention through parenting support.
The Let's Talk Program
Let’s Talk is a 10‐week structured support group for adolescents aged 12‐19 years and their caregivers, designed to address key issues facing adolescents affected by HIV and AIDS, including elevated risk for poor psychological health, sexual risk behavior, and HIV infection.
Let’s Build Skills is a program comprising two free online courses that provide core facilitation skills and knowledge on sexual and reproductive health for community stakeholders working with adolescents and youth.
Let’s Talk Digital is an evidence-informed program that supports participants to make healthy decisions to prevent unplanned pregnancy, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections through the utilization of both live group sessions and online modules.
