Join Dean Thomas LaVeist and the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane University for the 2025 Symposium on Climate and Health in the Gulf Region. This year, participants will enjoy an afternoon touring Climate & Health landmarks in and around New Orleans, LA. Community Partners in this work will lead a tour of notable landmarks and work taking place throughout the City.  

Following the tour, join us at the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine for a networking reception. The evening programming will include a keynote address and then a dynamic panel discussion around place-based public health issues, providing critical analysis in the context of local factors for education, policy, and action as it relates to work at the intersection of climate and health.  

2:00 - 4:30pm  Tour of significant landmarks in New Orleans (optional)

4:30 - 5:00pm  Networking and light refreshments in the Diboll Gallery

5:00 - 6:45pm  Welcome, Keynote Address & Panel Discussion, Diboll Auditorium
