HMSLA Service Event: Trick or Treat at Poydras Home

HMSLA has partnered with Poydras Home, a long-term care community, to create a meaningful service event for the Tulane student body. Poydras Home will have its annual Trick or Treat event on October 20th for the residents and is seeking volunteers to assist with various activities.

Volunteers role:

Setting up the event: Preparing the space with decorations and organizing stations for activities.

Running the event: Ensuring that everything flows smoothly throughout the day.

Engaging with the elders: Interacting with residents to bring joy and companionship during the festivities.

Assisting those in need: Providing support to residents who may require help with mobility or participation in activities.

This event offers students a unique opportunity to give back to the community while fostering meaningful connections with the residents at Poydras Home.
