Biography
Leann Myers is a Professor Emerita at Tulane University who was heavily engaged in applied research. She has analytical expertise in a rich variety of study types, outcomes, and designs. Her research background is in applied analysis of biomedical and behavioral data, including studies in STIs and HIV, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, school and community (cluster) based health promotion, PTSD, cancer, and aging. She has extensive experience in longitudinal studies and analyses, clinical trials, bench science, and other experimental designs. She has additional research interests in statistical methods and simulation studies. She is also part of the graduate teaching faculty in the department of biostatistics and data science, regularly teaching 7000 and 8000 level courses. She has chaired or participated in almost 50 doctoral committees, in addition to advising both master's and doctoral level students.
