Dr. Anastasia Gage to participate in United Nations Commission on Population and Development

IHSD faculty member Anastasia Gage, PhD, has been invited to participate in the 56th Session of the United Nations Commission on Population and Development this week on an expert panel on Population, Education and Sustainable Development.

The panel is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (CT).   

Dr. Gage has been rated in the top 2% of scholars in her field and is serving a six-year term on the United Nations High-Level Advisory Board on Economic and Social Affairs.

This board brings together 15 experts in economic and social affairs from around the world to help address global issues.

She also serves as member of the Scientific Advisory Council of Institut National d’Études Démographiques (French Institute for Demographic Studies), Paris (2018-2027), and previously served as President of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (2014-2017) and member of the Board of Directors of the African Population and Health Research Center in Nairobi (2000-2006).
