Bernard J. Panetta, II, JD

Bernard Panetta earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Tulane as well as a law degree from Georgetown University. Mr. Panetta is a former high-profile white collar criminal defense attorney in El Paso, TX. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., from 1973 to 1979 and then as an attorney in the Department of Justice, followed by years doing pro bono work. The Panettas’ daughter, Victoria E. Panetta, graduated from Newcomb-Tulane College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Panetta has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board since 2017.
