Dr. Al-Delaimy is a Professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of California San Diego. As a multidisciplinary epidemiologist, his work involved topics ranging from tobacco, diet, and environmental health, to chronic diseases, policy, and mental health. His target populations in his work are local and global vulnerable populations such as refugees, Native Americans, and minorities. His most recent research involves global climate change and health through two funded NIH centers in Jordan. Through team science and engagement of communities in Jordan, he is advancing the understanding of climate change health impacts through adaptation and finding solutions through capacity building and collaboration with local communities.
