Dr. Paz Soldan's talk will focus on the participatory process undertaken to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate the Proyecto Precancer, a program designed to improve early detection of cervical cancer in resource limited areas using implementation science frameworks and an underlying systems thinking approach. This project was conducted in the city of Iquitos (estimated population 400K), a city in the middle of the Peruvian rainforest that can only be reached by plane or river. She will also talk about the scale up of this strategy in new regions of Peru, as well as the development of plans to pilot this approach along mobile units in rivers of the rainforest.
