Why did you choose to attend Tulane SPHTM?

I chose to attend Tulane SPHTM because it offered me the flexibility of an online program with the convenience of and accessibility to on-campus resources. I love how Tulane SPHTM gives students the ability to learn and grow as public health professionals, while also organizing events and supporting organizations for students to meet and network with one another.

Why are you interested in volunteering as an SPHTM Student Ambassador?

I love the opportunity to meet new people. Being an ambassador would allow me to meet new people and speak on behalf of the SPHTM. This school has a lot to offer and I am thrilled to help potential students with any questions they may have.

What's your dream job?

My dream job is running my own organization that focuses on holistic health.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

Consider what you want to do and how a degree in public health can help your career. Research schools and find out what type of programs you are interested in and professors that share your same interest. Pinpoint a few professors and/or faculty of interest and reach out to a few to get a better idea of the programs you’re interested in and if they align with what you want. Lastly, look into the financial aid and scholarships provided at each school.

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

I love taking walks around my neighborhood, reading books about new worlds and places I’ve never been or cultures, and exploring new places around New Orleans.

What is the best thing about being a student at SPHTM thus far?

The people have been the best thing. From the students to the faculty and staff. Everyone has been really helpful and welcoming.
