Why did you choose to attend Tulane SPHTM?
I wanted to attend a school that conducted research related to my interests and was dedicated to providing students with an excellent holistic experience. Tulane SPHTM offered just that! Plus, New Orleans has a very similar culture and weather to the Caribbean.
Why are you interested in volunteering as an SPHTM Student Ambassador?
I wanted to see more representation of Caribbean students at SPHTM, thus I decided to volunteer.
What's your dream job?
I would like to dive further into academia, specifically focusing on the impact of climate change on nutrition-related diseases within Black/Caribbean communities.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
This experience of attaining a degree will not be easy, but it definitely will be worthwhile!
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
Cooking, hiking and pilates
What is the best thing about being a student at SPHTM thus far?
The sense of community among students.
