Dr. Xiang Li is trained in nutritional epidemiology. Her research interests include gene-environment (lifestyle, nutrition) interactions in relation to obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. She received the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship, which aims to use a novel method to detect variance-controlling genetic variants and assess their interactions with diet interventions on changes in adiposity and body composition. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow under the guidance of Dr. Lu Qi.
