Biography

John Lefante has extensive experience in data analyses and maintenance on research studies in occupational health, health care access and evaluation, and clinical and translational sciences. He is the Tulane Biostatistics & Epidemiology Core facilitator for the LA CaTS Center, an NIH funded IDeA-CTR. He was principal investigator on a five year Rapides Foundation grant to evaluate the level of success and ongoing progress of the CENLA Medication Access Program, a member of the Statistical Center of the Southeastern Cancer Study Group (SECSG) and a member of the biometry core of a Tulane SCOR in Occupational and Fibrotic Lung Disease. As an educator, Lefante has extensive experience teaching biostatistics and applied statistics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. On six separate occasions he has been the recipient of various Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine excellence in teaching awards.
