Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
I chose Tulane WSPH because I had the chance to visit in the summer of 2022, and I was immediately impressed by the innovative research happening at the school and the welcoming, passionate people I met. The environment felt collaborative and inspiring, and I could see myself thriving there while contributing to meaningful public health research. The combination of strong mentorship, cutting edge resources, and a community genuinely invested in advancing public health made Tulane the clear choice for me.
What's your dream job?
I would like to work in disease surveillance or in developing therapeutics for arthropod-transmitted diseases, applying research to prevent outbreaks and protect public health.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
I'd tell them it's an interesting field where you can make a real impact, so be ready to learn from different perspectives, stay open minded, and get involved in hands-on experiences early.
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
I enjoy watching movies and visiting new places, exploring different cultures and experiences whenever I can.
What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?
The best thing about being a student at WSPH so far is the people. Everyone from faculty to fellow students is incredibly supportive, collaborative, and passionate about public health. It makes the learning environment inspiring and welcoming, and it's motivating to be surrounded by people who genuinely want to make a difference.
