Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
I decided to stay at Tulane for my graduate studies because of the incredible experience I have had here as an undergraduate. Through my classes and involvement on campus, I saw firsthand how dedicated the faculty and community are to supporting students and making a real impact in public health. Choosing Tulane SPHTM felt like the natural next step I knew I'd be challenged academically while also having the chance to grow as a leader and contribute to the health of both New Orleans and beyond.
What's your dream job?
My dream job is to work in leadership role in hospital administration with a focus on operations or strategic planning. I'm passionate about improving how healthcare organizations run behind the scenes, making systems more efficient, strengthening coordination, and ensuring patients receive the highest quality care. I see myself helping hospitals adapt to a changing healthcare environment and building strategies that improve both the patient and provider experience.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
I would say keep an open mind! When I first started out, I didn't realize how many different paths you can take within public health. Public health is so broad and by exploring different classes and opportunities, it helped me figure out what I'm most passionate about, and I'd encourage new students to take advantage of everything Tulane has to offer before narrowing their focus.
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
Food blogging, Cooking, Baking, Pilates, Yoga, Dancing, Reading, Being at the beach!
What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?
For me, the best part has been the people. From professors who genuinely care about your success to classmates who are passionate and supportive, the community here makes a big difference. I've really valued the constant support, from academic guidance to career opportunities, which makes me feel like I'm never navigating this journey alone.
