Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
Tulane University came highly recommended to me, and after conducting my own research, I was thoroughly impressed by what it had to offer. Its MHA program is ranked among the top in the nation, reflecting the school's strong academic reputation and commitment to excellence in health administration. Beyond the classroom, Tulane's location in the vibrant and culturally rich city of New Orleans, paired with its warm, welcoming climate year round made it an even more appealing choice for me.
What's your dream job?
My dream job is to work at the intersection of clinical care and health systems management, where I can influence how healthcare is delivered on a larger scale. With my medical background and the training I'm receiving through the MHA program, I hope to take on a leadership role in a hospital or health system such as a medical director or hospital administrator, where I can help design efficient care models, improve patient outcomes, and make healthcare more accessible and sustainable. In the long term, I'd also like to contribute to shaping health policy, using data and strategic management to address systemic challenges
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
I'd encourage them to connect with people, faculty, peers, and professionals and learn about their perspectives on public health. Hearing different experiences can help them understand the many paths in the field and see whether it aligns with what they imagine for themselves. If it does, they should go for it with confidence.
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
Soccer, video games, movies.
