Why did you choose to attend Tulane?
I chose to attend Tulane SPHTM because of the strong sense of community and support that I experienced from the very beginning of the application process. Tulane stood out for how responsive and welcoming the faculty, staff, and students were, which made me feel that I would be joining an environment where I could truly thrive. I value being part of a program where collaboration and involvement are encouraged, and where everyone is genuinely invested in student success.
What's your dream job?
I don't have a definitive path yet, but I know I want to pursue a career as a biostatistician. I'm especially interested in using statistical methods to support public health research and improve health outcomes. What excites me most is the opportunity to apply analytical skills in a way that contributes to meaningful impact, whether in academia, industry, or public health practice.
What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?
I would tell them to have an open mind and go for it. Public health is a rewarding field that not only broadens your understanding of health and society but also shows you how you can make a meaningful impact. It encourages you to think critically, consider different perspectives, and apply what you learn in ways that can improve communities and people's lives.
Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?
I enjoy reading, running, staying active, and spending time with friends. I also love exploring the city and discovering new coffee shops.
What is the best thing about being a student at Tulane thus far?
The best thing about being a student at WSPH so far is the people. I've had the opportunity to meet inspiring and impactful individuals who have broadened my horizons and challenged me to think differently. The community here is supportive and engaged, which makes learning and growing as a student even more rewarding.
