Ready. Set. Action!

Every April, the American Public Health Association celebrates National Public Health Week highlighting how public health efforts have added decades to live expectancy, strengthened health systems, and improved quality of life. The Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, launched way back in 1912, has been a vibrant part of that history.

This year we’re celebrating National Public Health Week by reminding our community just what public health is, and we have a slate of events on both Tulane’s Uptown and Downtown campuses.

Don’t take public health for granted. We invite you to renew your commitment to science, community partnerships, and making the world a healthier place.
