Why did you choose to attend Tulane SPHTM?

I chose to attend Tulane SPHTM becuase of how the Maternal & Child Health Program perfeclty aligned with my goals and objectives for a graduate program.

Why are you interested in volunteering as an SPHTM Student Ambassador?

I am interested in volunteering as an ambassador to get more involved with SPHTM programming. Because I have loved my experience at Tulane SPHTM, I feel very passionate about recommending it to people who are considering the program.

What's your dream job?

My dream job would be working with adolescents and young adults to promote sexual and reproductive health. I would love to either design programs or interventions containing preventative education to direct the proper tools and knowledge to vulnerable populations. Increasing autonomy within family planning process is also very important to me.

What advice would you give someone thinking about getting a degree in public health?

Dive in! It's worth it..

Any hobbies, interests, etc. outside of public health?

Yoga Sculpt, cooking vegetarian tacos, taking care of my two kittens (named Olive & Mouse)

What is the best thing about being a student at SPHTM thus far?

The opportunities provided to grad students are an extreme plus to being a student at SPHTM. Whether its getting emails from Anita regarding a research position or access to federal-grant-funded groups such as the Center of Excellence for MCH.
