Although retired, Dr. Leemann has over 40 years of experience in corporate and business-line management of safety, occupational health and environmental functions with Conoco Inc., E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company, Inc., Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations, LLC, DM Petroleum Operations Company, and Dravo Utility Constructors, Inc. Early in his career, Dr. Leemann worked for VTN Louisiana, Inc. and Ecology and Environment, Inc. consulting firms providing environmental engineering and project management services.
After retiring from DuPont, Dr. Leemann launched his executive consulting services firm, The Leemann Group LLC, providing services in strategic planning, systems thinking, business development, systemic environmental, health and safety management, competency-based management, and career development.
During the summers of 1965 through 1969, Dr. Leemann was a deckhand for Tidewater Marine (1966), and a roustabout (1967) and roughneck (1967-1969) for Shell Oil Company on their Rig 12 in the Gulf of Mexico.
In 2000 Dr. Leemann was appointed to the CAEPH faculty and has taught the following courses: Applying Systems Thinking to EHS Management, International Management Standards, and Air Pollution and Health.
