Bernard Camins, MD, MSc is currently Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Infection Prevention Medical Director for the eight-hospital Mount Sinai Health System in New York. He has been involved in healthcare epidemiology and has conducted research to prevent devicerelated infections like central-line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) and catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). His current research interests include the use of artificial intelligence to detect outbreaks early and evaluating different methods for disinfection.
